Dividend Increase – McDonald's Corp. (MCD)


Yesterday McDonald's announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.94 to $ 1.01 per share that’s payable December 15, 2017 to holders of record December 1, 2017. This represents a 7.45% increase to regular quarterly dividends.

McDonald's has raised its dividend each and every year since paying its first dividend in 1976. With current price $ 159.03 (yesterday's close), this raise brings their dividend yield to 2.54%. 

Since I own 20 shares this will increase my yearly net dividends by $ 4.17.

That increase rises my YOC to 4.28

Recent Buy - Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. (SKT)

Yesterday September 20, I bought 50 shares of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. at $ 24.19 per share plus commission.

Recent Buy - LTC Properties Inc. (LTC)

Yesterday September 14, I bought 25 shares of LTC Properties Inc. at $ 48.29 per share plus commission.

Dividend Increase – Philip Morris International Inc. (PM)




Today Philip Morris International announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 1.04 to $ 1.07 per share that’s payable October 12, 2017 to holders of record September 28, 2017. This represents a 2.88% increase to regular quarterly dividends. The new annualized dividend rate is $ 4.28 per common share, representing a yield of 3.67% based on PM’s opening stock price of $ 116.74 on September 13, 2017. This is the tenth consecutive year in which PMI has increased its dividend, representing a total increase of 132.6%, or a compound annual growth rate of 9.8%, since PMI became a public company in 2008.

Since I own 85 shares of PM, this will increase my portfolio's projected annual net dividend income by $ 7.60.

That increase rises my YOC to 5.11%

Recent Buy - BCE Inc. (BCE.TO)



On Tuesday September 5, I bought 20 shares of BCE Inc. at CA$ 58,82 per share plus commission.


BCE Inc., a telecommunications and media company, provides wireless, wireline, Internet, and television (TV) services to residential, business, and wholesale customers in Canada. The company operates through three segments: Bell Wireless, Bell Wireline, and Bell Media. The Bell Wireless segment offers integrated digital wireless voice and data communications products and services. The Bell Wireline segment provides data, including Internet access and Internet protocol TV, local telephone, and long distance, as well as other communications services and products. This segment also offers competitive local exchange carrier services; business service solutions, such as hosting and cloud, managed, professional, and infrastructure services; and Web and audio conferencing, and e-mail solutions. The Bell Media segment owns and operates approximately 30 conventional TV stations; 34 specialty and pay TV channels; 105 radio stations; 30,000 advertising faces; and 200 Websites. This segment also offers out of home advertising services and digital media services. BCE Inc. offers its services through a network of corporate and dealer-owned retail stores, national retailers, and call center representatives, as well as Websites and door-to-door sales representatives. The company was formerly known as Bell Canada Enterprises Inc. BCE Inc. was incorporated in 1970 and is headquartered in Verdun, Canada.

Dividend Increase – Scotiabank (BNS)


Today the Board of Directors of Scotiabank announced a quarterly dividend increase of from CA$ 0.76 to CA$ 0.79 per share that’s payable October 27, 2017 to holders of record October 03, 2017. This represents a 3.95 % increase from prior dividend. It should be noted that this is the second dividend increase in the current calendar year as it was also raises by CA$ 0.02 in February 2017. So the increase in this calendar year is CA$ 0.05 or 6.76% from the last dividend paid in October 2016. With current price CA$ 77.20 (yesterday's close), this raise brings their dividend yield to 4.09 %. 

Since I own 155 shares of BNS, this will increase my portfolio's projected annual net dividend income by CA$ 13.86.

That increase rises my YOC to 5.01 %.

Friday August 25, I bought 25 shares of QUALCOMM Incorporated at $ 52.13 per share plus commission.





QUALCOMM Incorporated develops, designs, manufactures, and markets digital communications products and services in China, South Korea, Taiwan, the United States, and internationally. The company operates through three segments: Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT); Qualcomm Technology Licensing (QTL); and Qualcomm Strategic Initiatives (QSI). The QCT segment develops and supplies integrated circuits and system software based on code division multiple access (CDMA), orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA), and other technologies for use in voice and data communications, networking, application processing, multimedia, and global positioning system products. The QTL segment grants licenses or provides rights to use portions of its intellectual property portfolio, which include various patent rights useful in the manufacture and sale of certain wireless products comprising products implementing CDMA2000, WCDMA, CDMA TDD, and/or LTE standards, as well as their derivatives. Dividend Increase – Altria Group, Inc. (MO)


Yesterday the Board of Directors of Altria Group Inc. announced a quarterly dividend increase of from $ 0.61 to $ 0.66 per share that’s payable October 10, 2017 to holders of record September 15, 2017. This represents a 8.20% increase to regular quarterly dividends. Altria has increased its dividend 51 times in the past 48 years. The new annualized dividend rate is $ 2.64 per common share, representing a yield of 4.15% based on Altria’s closing stock price of $ 63.60 on August 24, 2017.

Since I own 175 shares, this will increase my portfolio's projected annual net dividend income by $ 26.08.

That increase rises my YOC to 7.84%.

Dividend Increase – Royal Bank of Canada (RY)


Today the Board of Directors of Royal Bank of Canada announced a quarterly dividend increase of from CA$ 0.87 to CA$ 0.91 per share that’s payable November 24, 2017 to holders of record October 26, 2017. This represents a 9.64 % increase over the fourth quarter 2016 dividend of CA$ 0.83 per share and a 4.60 % increase over for the second quarter 2017 of CA$ 0.87 per share. With current price CA$ 92.01 (yesterday's close), this raise brings their dividend yield to 3.96%. 

Since I own 120 shares, this will increase my portfolio's projected annual net dividend income by CA$ 14.30.

That increase rises my YOC to 4.81%.
