    1. Hi R2R

April is my favorite month for dividend income, as almost all of my annual dividend paying companies pay dividends in April.

      Thanks for reading and sharing!

  4. That's a large chunk of payments all in the same month. Do you get taxed immediately when you are paid those annual dividends? I was curious how you were calculating your net dividend income. Keep up the good work!

    1. Hi AAI

Yes, from those annual dividends I get taxed immediately, because those all are Finnish companies. In Finland tax is 25.5% on dividends (85% of dividend are tax capital income and capital gain tax rate is 30%). From Finnish companies I pay that 25.5% tax immediately. From foreign companies it depends in which country the company has HQ. (international tax treaty). For example, dividends from US company, I pay 15% immediately and that rest 10,5% after I have made my tax report for that year. ETF’s distributions aren’t dividends, so from those my tax at the end is 30%.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  6. DH,

Wow. Holy crap, my friend. Now that's what I'm talking about. :)

I'd be celebrating a big month of dividends like that with....a couple of stock purchases. I'm boring! :)

    Best wishes.

  7. I agree with DM...Wow! To say you an a good month is an understatement. Looks like you are well on your way to your goal of receiving € 6.000 in dividends this year. You are more than half way to you goal and we are only through with 1/3 of the year. Way to go! Wish you continued success.
